Dr. Sandip Kapur is Chief of Transplant Surgery and Director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplant programs at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center. Heading the oldest kidney transplant program in the New York State, he is a nationally recognized pioneer in developing innovative strategies allowing more recipients to receive successful transplants in instances where transplants would be contra-indicated at other centers. Dr. Kapur was in news for his successfully conducting one of the US’s first three-way living-donor kidney transplant chains, initiated by his hospital.
